SABA

The island of Saba was already of use by basic 1640 to the Dutch fishermen who exploited Saba's famous bench, gigantic area of high coral funds.
It was afterward connected in the Netherlands Antilles with Statia.

STATIA

The island of statia (st eustatius) was discovered in 1493 by Christophe

SABA

STATIA

Statia on a surface about 20 km2, Statia offers a relief to the rather soft slopes, the abruptest and highest point of which is established by the former volcano, the Quill.
ORANJESTAD
Only urban area of the island, the town is divided in a high city (Upper Town), built on a cliff, and a low city (Lower Town) on the bay, the oldest buildings of which are for the most part in ruins
